I don’t want to give away the surprise, so I’ll just post a sneak peek at one of my paintings currently in progress. This piece has a few tiny elements in the background that require a steady hand and practically microscopic paintbrush. The photo is a little blurry but you get the idea. I’ll be posting the finished painting soon. In the meantime, check out the rest of the series online here: http://amyguidry.com/wild_west.html.
I’ve added yet another new painting to my In Our Veins series! It’s currently on its way to its new home. This painting is an acrylic on canvas, 4″ x 4,” titled Union. Though this one has sold, there is still one 4″ x 4″ left in the series which can be viewed online here: http://amyguidry.com/linked.html.
I’ve finally finished and posted my most recent painting in my In Our Veins series. You may recall seeing my progress shots along the way. I’ve titled it Chain Reaction and it is an acrylic on canvas, 10″ wide by 20″ high. In addition, I’ve also finished a smaller painting in the same series- Transition, acrylic on canvas, 6″ wide by 4″ high. Both can be viewed online here and here.
I recently received some exciting news that my work has been selected for the Fifth Annual National Figurative Drawing and Painting Exhibition at the Lore Degenstein Gallery of Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. The exhibition opening and awards ceremony will take place October 19th from 7-9pm. The show will remain up through December 6th.
My studio has recently received a makeover! After much consideration, it is now “Soulful Blue.” Blue is said to be conducive to creativity so I’ll be putting it to the test!

Another painting from my In Our Veins series has found a new home. The title is Passing and it is one of the most recent paintings of the series. It is 4″ x 4″ and acrylic on canvas.
