Several of the small paintings from my In Our Veins series are now $100 for the month of December. There are a few 4″ x 4″ paintings still available as well, so I’ve included them in this group since they are also $100. This offer is available through December 31st, so there’s time for those looking to get something for the holidays or to get a piece they’ve been eyeing for their own walls. I’ve just finished a couple of new paintings in my In Our Veins series. These are part of the subset of smaller paintings in the series, both acrylic on canvas, 4″ by 4.” Both paintings refer to our connection to nature, with Spring linking flora and fauna and Rebirth referring to the life cycle. View them online here: http://amyguidry.com/rebirth.html and here: http://amyguidry.com/spring.html.
I’ve recently finished three new paintings in my In Our Veins series. Two of which are from my smaller, 4″ by 4″ paintings. I was particularly interested in doing a piece on forest clear-cutting because it is the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of global warming. The smaller paintings, Inseparable and Evanescence, are in reference to the connection of all life, which is the overarching theme of this series. I am currently working on some new small paintings, one of which is this 4″ by 4,” acrylic on canvas. This is the initial rough layer of paint with some detail added to the ocean and sky. The finished painting will be posted here soon. In the meantime, check out the rest of the series here.
A few of my small paintings in the In Our Veins series have recently found new homes in Louisiana and New York. A couple of them were just featured in my newsletter upon finishing. Circular and Vision are both acrylic on canvas, 4″ x 4″ and Conserve is also an acrylic on canvas, 6″ wide by 4″ high.
These are the remaining small paintings in this series available:
Unite from my In Our Veins series has found a new home. This is one of the smaller paintings from the series, at 4″ wide by 4″ high, acrylic on canvas. Three paintings at this size are currently available:
Also of note- if you would like to see my work in person, I’ll be showing in the Main Gallery of the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette, LA as part of a 10-person exhibition called “Apocalypse Now.” The opening is this Saturday, October 10th from 6-9pm. The exhibit will remain up through January 9th.
I’ve recently finished some new work in my In Our Veins series. Dissociate is an acrylic on canvas, 12″ wide by 6″ high. Lately I’ve been exploring the “opposite” of many paintings in this series. Whereas in previous paintings, I relied on eyes and facial expressions to convey a sense of connection, these recent works show animals without faces or covered faces. Anonymity vs. connection- without seeing their faces, does that make them any less personable? Meaningful? And how does this apply on a global scale? These are some of the questions I’m working on with these and future paintings.
I’ve recently finished another small painting in my In Our Veins series. This piece is titled Tethered and it is an acrylic on canvas, 4″ x 4,” $100. It is one of a few remaining 4″ x 4″ paintings I have available, as seen here:
