These are a few photos from opening night for the “Face to Face” exhibition at LeMieux Galleries in New Orleans. Artists represented by the gallery as well as a few new artists have created their own interpretation of portraiture, ranging from the traditional to the abstract. The show is up now through July 29th, so there’s still time to see the exhibit.
I’ve just recently framed these small paintings from my In Our Veins series. I feel like the frames take them to a whole other level. Connected and Union are both acrylic on cardstock, 4″ tondo and the framed images are 5 1/2″ wide by 6 3/8″ high. Both are currently available for $100 each. If you can see this in your home, contact me to purchase at https://amyguidry.com/contact.html.
I’m happy to announce that my painting, Exposed, is featured on the cover of the latest issue of VEGAN Magazine out of the Netherlands. In addition, there is an interview featured along with more of my paintings inside. I’ve included images for those that can read Dutch.
One of my paintings from my In Our Veins series has found a new home. This piece was recently featured in the “Ouroboros” exhibition at LeMieux Galleries in New Orleans. A couple of photos of my latest painting in progress. This will be the latest addition to my In Our Veins series. After marking the center line (even though the figure won’t be completely symmetric), this is the sketch on canvas.
Then I roughed in the first layer of paint and started working on the details of the face. It is an acrylic on canvas, 6″ wide by 8″ high. I’ll be posting the finished painting soon!
Another painting from my In Our Veins series has found a new home. Crutch is an acrylic on canvas, 12″ wide by 6″ high. It was also recently featured in the October issue of American Art Collector Magazine. View the painting online (and the series itself) here: http://amyguidry.com/crutch.html.
