Due to shelter at home orders, I have a couple of online-only exhibitions going on at the moment. These three paintings have found new homes: Woven and Intricate are both part of LeMieux Galleries’ Petite LeMieux exhibition, and Arise is part of Krause Gallery’s charity art exhibition benefiting Meals on Wheels.
Revealing my latest painting Revere. This piece was created for Gristle Art Gallery’s Birds of Paradise exhibition. Revere features a female red-tailed black cockatoo which have yellow spots (males are solid black) so I took the liberty of painting them metallic gold. The angled second photo shows the metallic sheen a bit more. Big thanks to whomever brought this one home! Revere is an acrylic on canvas, 5″ wide by 5″ high.
Three of my paintings are part of LeMieux Galleries’ Petite LeMieux online exhibition going on now through May 2nd. The exhibition on Artcloud consists of pieces by gallery artists that are under $500. Featured are Intricate, Woven, and Clear-Cut, all acrylic on canvas. Woven and Intricate have sold, Clear-Cut is available online here: https://artcld.com/art/2185171.
One of my little bunny paintings is finished and now online. This painting is titled Praesidio, which is Latin for protection. Praesidio is an acrylic on canvas, 4″ wide by 4″ high. This piece has a new home already, but if you would like to stay informed of new paintings in progress, sign up for my monthly newsletter on my website here: https://amyguidry.com/contact.html.
Revealing my newly finished painting Illumination. This piece was created for Modern Eden Gallery’s current exhibition New Growth. The connected lotus flower and polar bear refer to the connection of all of nature. The lotus flower is a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Illumination is an acrylic on canvas, 6″ wide by 6″ high. The exhibition is online now through April 2nd. You can view the show here: https://www.moderneden.com/collections/new-growth.
Revealing another finished painting Inside Out. Inside out is in reference to our love of nature mimicked through consumer goods which, once they are old or we tire of them, are tossed out into the very thing we love: nature. This painting is currently part of the “All the Things” group exhibition at Roq la Rue in Seattle. The show is up now through March 7th. Inside Out is an acrylic on canvas, 12″ wide by 12″ high. View Inside Out on my website here: https://amyguidry.com/inside-out.html.
